Definition of various strata of job

What if this statement was true for me or you? What if this statement was true for anyone else? Is it not possible to do a job of a maid servant with equal grace and respect as any other so called “white collar job”?

What I am trying to convey is that doing an executive’s job is dignified in society. But why does someone have a hiccup with the very mention of a job like that of a maid servant?

First of all we need to ask ourselves that what exactly is a lower strata or higher strata of jobs. Does it really exist? Well, the theory of relativity is not only limited to science. Our life lessons also teach us the same. What is good for us may be bad for someone else. Each stratum is lower compared to the higher one. So the one who is at the lower strata may show timid response towards that at the higher one. So it’s a vicious chain of events that is somewhat pointless.

Thus, the concept of higher and lower strata of job must be eradicated from our brains so that equivalence of respect comes into existence.

The first step towards doing any damn job gracefully is respect for self. A storekeeper, a salesman, a vegetable vendor or a maid servant excel their respective jobs which are very crucial for any society only when they have got high esteem for their respective jobs.

My first job was of a health store salesgirl. Having completed my post-graduation without a job was tough for me. A recession stuck market of pharma companies lead me to take a decision to start off my career in such a way.

One fine day, my father arrived at the store. That was the moment for me. Though my father knew that I was working there, I couldn’t resist the embarrassment I felt internally. I almost wanted to run way from the place for that moment till my father was standing in the store.

Today I realize that there was nothing to be ashamed of. I learned a lot of things from health point of view and personally too.
