Skills to Improve

Time management is something I definitely want to work on. I tend to always leave assignments to the last minute because I feel like I work better under some pressure. I want to finish assignments earlier so that I can just get them out of the way. Leaving them until last moment is stressful and it’s my own fault that I do that. When I start an assignment early, I usually get sidetracked and I don’t focus on it as much as I should. Honestly with this assignment itself, I tried to start it on Wednesday, I wrote two lines and then called it a day. It’s a simple enough task that I can complete in an hour, but I keep procrastinating and then I decide it’s a good time to clean my room. I’m a really organized person and I try my best to start tasks early that have a high priority or are just intense projects, but I often find myself waiting until last minute to really work on it. I want to figure out how to divide my time when I have a bunch of assignments due around the same time.

I am going to work on my time management skills by first of all starting the assignment earlier. I also want to stay focus on the task at hand. It’s really hard to stay on top of things spring semester senior year especially when I am so close to graduation, but I want to finish the semester strong. Motivation is low, but I don’t want to continue procrastinating. I’m just getting lazier and lazier– senioritis at its finest. I guess it’ll only get better with discipline.
