Do Different Personality Types Affect Relationship Longevity?

It has been said that opposites attract, Yin and Yang, you know…. a little difference in personality keeps things spiced up! Well… Is this really true?

When it comes to romantic relationships, we all have our own idea of what we are looking for, but do we really know what works?

There are many different personalities and different combinations of them. Some are known for being better matches and some personality traits are better for romantic relationships than others. So, what really determines what recipe makes for a better, long lasting relationship?

So… Do similarities take precedence over these five traits? Researchers say NO! Multiple studies show that personality similarities are less important than the idea of being similar to one another. However, later in life differences are key to the distribution of chores and daily life.

In the long run, there are many variables that affect if a relationship lasts or not, but with so many different personalities and factors that affect our outcome in life, it would be nice to be able to really pin point exactly the best recipe for happy, long lasting relationships. Fort now, lets remember what is more important to us, and focus on these qualities on a partner. This may really be the key to longevity and happy relationship!
